Hello everyone, my name is Cheyane Lozano. I am Many Goats born for Tewa Bear Clan. My maternal grandfather was Tangle Clan and my paternal grandfather was Mexican American. I am from El Paso and studying creative storytelling and teaching at UTEP. In this way I am a Navajo woman. Thank You.
I am a graduate student in the Creative Writing MFA, and work as an Assistance Director of the University Writing Center. I am proud of my work as an activist for various social justice causes and hope to one day teach others the joy that writing has brought into my life. In my professional headshot, I am posing with a Native American Pendleton Blanket, though I wish I could have included my Pitbull, Zero, in the photo.
