When I was 7 years old, I was given a children's book as a birthday gift for the first time. Alice's Adventures in Wonderland was my welcome to the world of literature, and since then I have not stopped reading. This is one of the reasons why I chose English and American Literature as my major. Reading has always been my escape; it is my favorite thing to do, no matter how I feel. I think this is how my writing style came to be what it is today. I always found inspiration in every literary piece I could get my hands on. I learned to appreciate different kinds of writing.
My favorite kind of writing to work with during a session is the personal one. When a writer just lets their mind flow and explores unique paths to share their story, it is inspiring to me. I like those papers that are about the writer's opinions, dreams, goals, and stories; anything that shows me something about themselves is appealing.
Working at the UWC has been a dream come true for me since I want to be a book editor in the future. Being here and working with different writers, meeting new people, and helping fellow students share their minds through writing has been one of the best experiences I could ask for. I wish for everyone to find their own writing style, as I have found mine. There is always space to grow, though!
