Entomology Collections
The entomology collections consist of approximately 300,000 insect specimens. The collections include the Mackay collection, which consists of approximately 230,000 specimens of ants from the New World. The collections cover mostly the southwest US, with an emphasis in Texas, New Mexico and Arizona.
Data for most entomological collections is currently unavailable online but is in the process of being migrated online, thanks to funding by the National Science Foundation. Please contact a collection curator or the collections manager for information related to the entomology collection.
