College of Education Launches New Online Doctoral Degree with Leadership Focus

EL PASO, Texas (April 2, 2026) – The University of Texas at El Paso College of Education has launched the University’s first fully online doctoral program: the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership and Administration. The program is aimed at experienced educators who want to advance their careers, contribute to innovative, applied research and lead change in their professional workplace.

El Paso Computes, an initiative between the City of El Paso, UTEP and El Paso ISD, is making steady progress toward its goal of preparing 750 teachers and reaching more than 20,000 K–12 students in computer science and artificial intelligence education.
