Registration — Register via Handshake; comply with UTEP, UT System, NACE, and FERPA policies. MLM, home-based franchises, and third-party agencies are ineligible.
Job Postings — No upfront fees, commission-only roles, solicitation, or unpaid positions lacking academic credit/FLSA compliance.
Internship Standards — Must extend classroom learning (not replace regular staff work), with defined dates, learning objectives, and supervised feedback.
On-Campus Recruiting — Must be coordinated through theOffice of Career Education; no unapproved flyers, solicitation, student-hosted events, or alcohol.
Compliance & Liability — Employers must follow EEO/SB 17 nondiscrimination policies and assume liability for interns; violations may result in denied/revoked services.
Offer Timelines — Give students at least two weeks to decide; no "exploding" offers.
