Your next hire, your next internship, your next opportunity starts here. Handshake is UTEP's hub for connecting students and young professionals with employers, making it easy to build a profile, discover openings, and start real conversations with the people doing the hiring.

UTEP Engage uses Handshake to connect students and alumni with employers, internships, jobs, career events, and other professional opportunities.
Current students: Students who are enrolled at UTEP are eligible to access UTEP student-focused opportunities through Handshake, including student-targeted recruiting activities and on-campus employment opportunities. Handshake accounts are established using a student’s UTEP institutional email address. Information about activating and accessing the account is provided as part of the new-student orientation process.
Students who leave UTEP before graduating: Students who disenroll from UTEP before completing their degree will be temporarily archived from UTEP's student network in Handshake. You will still be able to use your existing Handshake account, but will no longer have access to UTEP student-targeted recruiting or on-campus employment opportunities. If you reenroll at UTEP, your access to UTEP student opportunities will be automatically restored around the start of the new semester. You will not need to create a new Handshake account.
Graduating students and alumni: Students who graduate from UTEP retain access to Handshake as a feature of their alumni status, including career and professional opportunities available to degree holders. Because access to student email accounts is subject to University retention policies, graduating students are strongly encouraged to add a personal email address to their Handshake profile alongside their UTEP email address to help ensure continuity of access.
Previous UTEP graduates: If you are a UTEP graduate who previously had a Handshake account but can no longer access it, please contact UTEP Engage. We can verify your alumni status and assist with reestablishing your Handshake access.
For assistance with access or other questions related to Handshake, please contact UTEP Engage at handshake@utep.edu.
