CTIS Graduate Student Researchers Advance to PhD Candidacy
The Center for Transportation Infrastructure Systems (CTIS) proudly announces that four of its researchers. Zahra Mohajeri, Hector Cruz, Sandeep Reddy, and Suhail Rashid Vaid—have successfully advanced to PhD candidacy.
- Zahra Mohajeri’s research on "Impact of Mixture Variables on Fatigue Cracking and Binder Properties in Long-Term Aged Hot Mix Asphalt" promises to offer new insights into pavement durability and performance.
- Hector Cruz presented his dissertation proposal titled "Development of a Numerical Analysis Tool to Evaluate Pavements Integrated with Dynamic Wireless Power Transfer Technology," which contributes to the advancement of pavement electrification.
- Suhail Rashid Vaid is working on a project titled "Guidelines for Utilization of Field Sands in Asphalt Mixtures," addressing challenges like clay contamination when field sands are used in asphalt mixtures.
- Sandeep Reddy's work titled "An Approach to Incorporate Skid Resistance into Balanced Asphalt Mix Design Framework" aims to incorporate skid resistance into the BMD process to enhance both safety and performance of pavements.
This significant achievement reflects their dedication and contribution to ongoing research in the field of transportation. CTIS is proud to support our graduate researchers and looks forward to the impactful contributions they will make to transportation infrastructure.
