The Research Institute for Manufacturing and Engineering Systems (RIMES) is a multidisciplinary center under the Department of Industrial, Manufacturing, and Systems Engineering (IMSE) at The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). RIMES is dedicated to advancing research, innovation, and education in manufacturing and engineering systems, with a focus on solving complex industrial challenges through cutting-edge technologies, data-driven decision-making, and collaborative partnerships. By integrating expertise in areas such as smart manufacturing, digital twins, automation, industrial data analytics, and sustainable engineering practices, RIMES fosters impactful solutions that enhance productivity, efficiency, and competitiveness. The institute serves as a hub for faculty, students, industry, and government agencies to collaborate on research projects, workforce development initiatives, and technology transfer, contributing to regional and global advancements in manufacturing and engineering systems.
