1. AERO 4322 - Aerospace Propulsion
This course covers the fundamental and practical aspects of various aerospace propulsion systems, including liquid/solid rocket motors, turbojet/turbofan engines, and ramjet/scramjet engines. Brief courses for utilizing Python and Cantera (open-source software for thermodynamic and chemical kinetic calculation) are provided for reduced modeling of propulsion systems.
2. MECH 4336 - PRINCIPLE OF ENGINEERING DESIGN

1. MECH 5305, 6305 - Computational fluid dynamics
This course provides the physical basis of computational fluid dynamics (CFD), particularly those of unsteady gas-phase flow. The course content includes a review of fundamental gas dynamics and various numerical schemes (e.g., finite-volume method, upwind stencils, flux-averaging, flux-splitting, etc.). The students are expected to apply the knowledge gained to build their own CFD codes in Python, based on which they will solve three exemplary equations: the linear advection equation, Burger’s equation, and Euler equations.
2. MECH 5303, 6303 - heat transfer I

1. Sun city summit Rocket team
Founded in 2021, Sun City Summit Rocket Team is UTEP's high-power rocketry team. As a multi-disciplinary engineering team, we design, build, test, and launch high-powered rockets. Our mission is to cultivate the skills of our student members through research and hands-on experience in order to develop the next generation of industry leaders.
2. SPaRK biweekly coding session
