GRADUATE STUDENTS

FAIHIM AHMED
Fahim Ahmed is currently pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at El Paso. He completed his Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mechanical Engineering from Khulna University of Engineering & Technology (KUET), Bangladesh, and his Masters (MS) degree from Andong National University, South Korea. His research focuses on combustion and computational chemistry, utilizing jet-stirred reactor experiments and computational fluid dynamics simulations.

MD RAZAUL kARIM
MD Razaul Karim is a PhD student at UTEP pursuing his PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering. He graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 2022 with a degree in Industrial and Production Engineering. Currently, Razaul is focusing on the development of new composites and polymers using molecular dynamics simulations, with an emphasis on exploring their chemical and mechanical properties. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, hiking, writing, and playing cricket and soccer.

Evan M Griffin
Evan is a MSc student at UTEP for Aerospace Engineering, pursuing his Master's degree. He has a passion for propulsion based topics and the applications of quantum mechanics in Aerospace Engineering. Evan's main hobbies consist of riding his motorcycle, playing soccer, and learning about various other scientific topics.
Undergraduate Assistants

VICTOR M BONILLA
Victor is a senior at UTEP pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering. He is interested in conducting research on propulsion, fuel topics, and the application of machine learning in the aerospace field. During his free time, Victor likes to watch sports, play soccer, and explore local coffee shops.

EMILIO Arreola
Emilio is a junior at UTEP pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering. Focused on applying his background in computer programming to develop predictive models centered around non-toxic combustion and material design. He enjoys playing video games competitively, listening to music, and tinkering with computer hardware.

RAMIRO ALCOVERDE
Ramiro is a undergraduate senior pursuing a degree in Aerospace Engineering. He is interested in helping aviation and rocketry become more sustainable and environmentally-friendly practices. He is currently part of UTEP's rocket team where he converts his gained knowledge into practice. On his free time, he enjoys painting, watching movies, coding, cooking and hanging out with his loved ones.

Ryan O Flores
Ryan is a senior perusing a degree in Aerospace Engineering. He is interested in non-toxic propellants for use in aerospace vehicles and helping to educate and learn about propulsion-based topics. In his free time, Ryan likes to play video games, play guitar, fly remote-controlled airplanes, and read books.
