Alex Boylan, host and producer of The College Tour, visited the UTEP campus over the summer to record an episode of the program about the University and several of its students. The College Tour is a groundbreaking series, now streaming on Amazon Prime Video, that travels the country telling the story of individual colleges and universities through the diverse lens of their students, giving the viewer an intimate portrayal of life on campus.

UTEP Featured in The College Tour, Now on Amazon Prime Video

EL PASO, TEXAS (Oct. 15, 2024) – The University of Texas at El Paso is featured in season 12 of The College Tour, a groundbreaking series now streaming on Amazon Prime Video. The episode serves as a vehicle to help students across the world connect with UTEP.

William Serrata, Ph.D. (front row, right), president of EPCC, and Heather Wilson, Ph.D. (front row, center), president of UTEP, joined faculty and administrators from both institutions at EPCC's Valle Verde campus to officially welcome the inaugural cohort of the newly established EPCC | UTEP Engineering Academy. The program will increase accessibility to an engineering degree for students from the Paso del Norte region by allowing them to enroll concurrently at EPCC and UTEP to begin their engineering education, then seamlessly transfer to UTEP to complete a bachelor’s degree in civil, industrial, materials, electrical, or mechanical engineering.

EPCC, UTEP Kickoff Engineering Academy, Welcome Inaugural Cohort of Aspiring Engineers

EL PASO, Texas (Oct. 10, 2024) – Today, leaders from The University of Texas at El Paso and El Paso Community College (EPCC) officially welcomed the inaugural cohort of students to the newly established EPCC | UTEP Engineering Academy. The program will make an engineering degree more accessible to students from the Paso del Norte region. It will do so by offering students the opportunity to enroll concurrently at EPCC and UTEP to begin their engineering education, and later transfer seamlessly to UTEP to complete a bachelor’s degree in civil, industrial, materials, electrical, or mechanical engineering.
