Surplus
- Collection of furniture (desks, chairs, tables, etc.) and equipment (computers, laboratory equipment, etc.)
- Delivery of recycled furniture or equipment to new department
Departments on campus can transfer tagged items using the Asset Management System in PeopleSoft. If the items are not tagged, departments on campus can use the “Non-Tagged Surplus Transfer Form” to transfer items to the Surplus Department. Non-Tagged Surplus Transfer forms can be submitted to the Surplus department with proper signatures by e-mailing it to surplus@utep.edu. Upon receipt of the surplus form, the Surplus Coordinator will schedule a pickup date with departments.
Surplus property can be redistributed to departments on campus and will be delivered free of charge. Viewing of surplus property can be arranged by calling the Surplus Coordinator at 915-747-7136 or e-mail surplus@utep.edu for an appointment. The Surplus department will then fill out the Property Transfer Form with all necessary signatures.
The public, University employees and students are welcome to purchase property during an auction. Campus Bulletins are sent to the UTEP community the Thursday prior to every auction.
