General Services FAQ’s
Q: Can I submit my Public Service Loan Forgiveness form unprotected to the Employment Verification email?
A: No, please submit all PSLF forms to email@example.com via protected PDF using your date of birth as MMDDYY for the password.
Q: Can you verify my job duties and/or job description?
A: No, the only information that can be verified are your date(s) of employment, compensation/wages, and job title(s).
Q: I have prior state service from another Texas agency. What can I do to ensure this prior state service is accounted for?
A: Please complete the Prior State Service Employee Form linked in our main HR website. Once completed, our team will conduct a prior state service verification process.
Employee Education Assistance Program (EEAP):
Q: Can I submit my EEAP reimbursement(s) request anytime during the year?
A: No, all EEAP reimbursement requests must be submitted with-in the current fiscal year to be considered for eligibility for processing. (September to August) Please submit your requests to EEAP@utep.edu.
NOTE: Any requests submitted after the fiscal year deadline will be ineligible for processing.
Q: What is the best way to submit my EEAP reimbursement request?
A: You can submit all EEAP reimbursement requests to EEAP@utep.edu.
Q: How long does it take for my refund to post to my account?
A: EEAP reimbursement requests usually take 3-5 business days to reflect in your direct deposit account. If you do not have direct deposit set up, the reimbursement will be issued via check to your address on file.
University Service Awards:
Q: Does my service time for another Texas University institution count towards Service Awards eligibility and consideration?
A: No, per UTEP Service Award guidelines, service at other state agencies or other components of the UT system will not count toward UTEP service award determination.
Q: I believe I have met a milestone. Who can I contact to verify for me?
A: You can contact ServiceAwards@utep.edu with your inquiry and our team will review your record(s) to determine if you are a recipient.
Q: I lost my redemption card. What can I do so I may redeem my prize?
A: Please contact ServiceAwards@utep.edu and we will be more than happy to assist you with a link to redeem your prize.
Q: Can I just walk up and use any of the lactation stations provided by the University?
A: No, please complete the lactation request form linked in the Lactation Room and Resources web page. Once completed, we will contact you via email and by phone for the next steps necessary to access the pod and/or rooms.
Q: Do I have to submit a request every time I need to use the lactation pod and/or room?
A: Yes, unless you need the pod/room for a longer period of time, please submit a request with the date range you will need the lactation space.
