Aitiana Sanchez

I am a first-year master’s student in the Psychology Department at UTEP, currently pursuing a master’s degree in clinical psychology under the mentorship of Dr. Craig Field. I graduated from Texas State University in 2018, where I received my B.S in Psychology. My current research focuses on mental health stigma as a risk factor for alcohol and substance abuse, as well as the protective effects of resilience and ethnic identity on alcohol abuse. I plan on continuing my education here at UTEP in the Health Psychology Doctoral program, focusing on mental health stigma in the Hispanic community.
