El Paso Center for Children:

LAHDR provided two rounds of training (24 hours; Introductory, Booster, Learning Groups) in Screening and Brief Motivational Interventions to staff and counselors to increase alcohol screening and enhance intervention skills among at-risk children and adolescents.


El Paso Child Guidance Center:

LAHDR provided 8 hours of Introductory training in Motivational Interviewing to staff and community partners to enhance organization-wide patient-provider engagement and client retention among children, adolescents, and families. LAHDR also provided up to 4 hours of Learning Group sessions to further refine MI skill implementation among the clinical, operations, and trauma-informed teams within this organization.


El Paso County Community Supervision and Corrections Department:

 LAHDR also provided two rounds of training (25 hours; Introductory, Booster, Learning Groups, Audio Coding) in Screening and Brief Motivational Interventions to probation officers and counselors to increase alcohol screening and enhance intervention strategies among community members enrolled in probation.

LAHDR provided 12 hours of Advanced practice groups to probation officers and counselors who demonstrated competence/proficiency to further refine MI skill implementation. LAHDR also provided 19 hours of Intermediate training to support probation officers and counselors in reaching competent MI skill implementation.

LAHDR provided three rounds of training (24 hours; Introductory, Booster, Learning Groups) in Motivational Interviewing within the Texas Risk Assessment System to probation officers, counselors, and residential treatment staff to enhance interviewing skills, increase program adherence, and reduce re-incidence among community members enrolled in probation.


Emergence Health Network:

LAHDR provided 12 hours of Introductory training in Screening and Brief Motivational Interventions to Outreach, Screening, Assessment, and Referral staff to improve alcohol screening and intervention strategies among the mental health population. LAHDR also provided 8 hours of Advanced training to clinical supervisors to further refine the implementation of Brief Motivational Intervention tools and skills among dually-diagnosed patients.


Empower Change:

LAHDR provided 8 hours of Introductory training in Motivational Interviewing in Spanish to community health workers to enhance patient-provider communication and increase resource utilization among rural and underserved Spanish-speaking populations.

Paso del Norte Health Foundation:

LAHDR provided one round of training (25 hours; Introductory, Booster, Learning Groups, Audio Coding) in Screening and Brief Motivational Interventions to community health providers to increase alcohol screening and enhance intervention strategies among Paso del Norte community members.

LAHDR provided one round of Advanced training (16 hours; Initial, Booster, Learning Groups, Audio Coding) in Culturally-Centered Brief Motivational Interventions to community health providers who demonstrated competence/proficiency to further refine MI skills implementation by incorporating culturally-informed intervention tools to better address risk and protective factors specific to the Hispanic community.

LAHDR provided three rounds of training (25 hours; Introductory, Booster, Learning Groups, Audio Coding) in Screening and Brief Motivational Interventions to community health providers to increase alcohol screening and enhance intervention strategies among Paso del Norte community members.

LAHDR provided 14 sessions of Motivational Interviewing Learning Community practice groups to support sustainable implementation of high-quality MI/BMI among trained community health providers.

Project Vida:

LAHDR provided three rounds of training (24 hours; Introductory, Booster, Learning Groups) in Screening and Brief Motivational Interventions to peer support specialists to increase alcohol screening and enhance intervention strategies among community members undergoing substance use recovery.


University of Texas at El Paso:

LAHDR provided 4 hours of Introductory training in Motivational Interviewing to Student Affairs staff to increase resource utilization and maintain student enrollment among the university’s student population.

LAHDR provided 1 hour presentations to university students and staff on alcohol education during Alcohol Awareness week.

ROTMENAS:

LAHDR provided 16 hours of Introductory training in Brief Motivational Interventions in Spanish to psychologists, peer counselors, and other addictions professionals to enhance outreach communication and increase motivation for alcohol use behavior changes among youth and adults living in Ciudad Juárez.

Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez:

LAHDR provided 16 hours of Introductory training in Screening and Brief Motivational Interventions in Spanish to university counselors and student peers to increase screening for alcohol misuse and provide effective interventions among university students.

Doña Ana County Health and Human Services Department:

LAHDR provided 8 hours of Introductory training and 8 hours of Booster training in Screening and Brief Motivational Interventions to probation officers to increase program completion among DWI-involved probationers. LAHDR also provided 4 hours of supervision to further refine the implementation of BMI skills among probation staff.

LAHDR provided 8 hours of Introductory training in Screening and Brief Motivational Interventions to community health workers to increase alcohol screening and enhance intervention strategies among community members. 

New Mexico State University:

LAHDR provided three rounds (3 hours each) of Introductory training in Motivational Interviewing in Spanish to graduate students and staff in the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology to increase MI skill integration and enhance patient-provider communication among Hispanic community members.

LAHDR will provide three rounds (3 hours each) of Introductory training in Motivational Interviewing in English to graduate students and staff in the Department of Counseling and Educational Psychology to increase MI skill integration and enhance patient-provider communication among community members who engage in opioid misuse.

 Motivational Interviewing Training Center:

LAHDR will provide 16 hours of training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to community health care providers in Bernalillo County, NM to increase exposure to evidence-based tools and improve client care.

Department of Family and Protective Services:

LAHDR provided 16 hours of Introductory training in Brief Motivational Interventions to DFPS staff to enhance client-provider communication and improve placement outcomes among at-risk children, adolescents, and families. LAHDR also provided three rounds (4 hours each) of Booster training to further refine the implementation of MI skills among regional staff.

LAHDR provided three rounds of Introductory training (16 hours) in Motivational Interviewing to DFPS staff to enhance client-provider communication and improve placement outcomes among at-risk children, adolescents, and families.

 

Texans Standing Tall:

LAHDR provided 8 hours of Introductory training in Screening and Brief Motivational Interventions to college staff, counselors, and alumni to increase alcohol screening and intervention strategies among university students participating in health fair events.

Kaiser Permanente:

LAHDR provided three rounds of personalized coaching and supervision in Spanish based on coded audio samples to the Spanish Matrix team to increase Motivational Interviewing skill implementation and improve program engagement among Hispanic health clinic members.

University of Pittsburgh:

LAHDR provided 16 hours of Introductory training in Brief Motivational Interventions to social workers and pharmacists to improve opioid medication adherence among community members enrolled in a R01 research project. LAHDR also provided personalized coaching to select project staff to further refine the implementation of BMI skills within patient interactions.

Siloam Health:

LAHDR provided 4 hours of Introductory training and personal coaching in Motivational Interviewing to Spanish-speaking staff to enhance the implementation of MI concepts and skills and increase program engagement among Hispanic community members enrolled in clinic services.

Universidad Central del Caribe:

LAHDR provided 12 hours of Introductory training in Culturally-Centered Brief Motivational Interventions in Spanish to Federally-Qualified Health Center staff (e.g., medical doctors, counselors, psychologists) to enhance harm-reduction intervention strategies and treatment compliance among rural and underserved communities.

LAHDR provided 12 hours of Introductory training in Screening and Brief Motivational Interventions in Spanish to Federally-Qualified Health Center staff to increase alcohol screening and enhance intervention strategies among adolescents.

LAHDR provided 12 hours of Advanced training in Culturally-Centered Brief Motivational Interventions in Spanish to Federally-Qualified Health Center staff  to enhance harm-reduction intervention strategies and treatment compliance among rural and underserved communities.

Universidad de Ciencias Médicas de la Habana:

LAHDR provided 16 hours of Introductory training in Motivational Interviewing in Spanish to health care providers to enhance harm-reduction intervention strategies and treatment compliance among people who engage in substance use. This training was sponsored by the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers.
