Carlos Portillo

PhD Student

Carlos Portillo is currently a second year doctoral student in the Health Psychology program. He received a B.S. in Psychology from UTEP. Currently, Carlos is working on his master’s degree in clinical psychology. Generally, his research interests are related to mental health within Latinos and those with criminal backgrounds and substance abuse patterns. Carlos hopes to pursue a degree in Clinical Psychology and aspires to have a career in a federal law enforcement setting where clinical psychology can be applied.
