The Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science (BAAS) Degree is the ideal pathway for graduates with an Applied Arts and Science (AAS) degree to continue their professional development and get ahead in the workplace. By applying your technical degree credits from an AAS degree, a BAAS degree at UTEP can be completed in a shorter amount of time than other degrees. This saves you on time and money.
As a graduate of our BAAS program, the writing and communication skills that you will strengthen can prepare you for managerial or supervisory roles, licensing, or promotion. Marketable skills that you will improve upon include critical thinking, problem solving, teamwork, and leadership.
If you were a student in an accredited college in the El Paso region, earned an AAS, and wish to continue your pursuit in higher education, you can complete a bachelor’s degree using up to 33 AAS credit hours towards a BAAS.
