Storming the Wall: Climate, Migration, and Homeland Security


Todd MillerTodd Miller, a journalist recipient of the 2018 Izzy Award for Excellence in Investigative Journalism, gave a talk about his book, Storming the Wall: Climate, Migration, and Homeland Security. In his book he discusses some issues caused by climate change such as displacement, food insecurity, and the crossing of borders as result. This migration across borders as a result of social-natural disasters that are exacerbated due to climate change leads to new issues of border security. Mr. Miller also spoke about his travels talking to those affected by environmental displacement in the Philippines and across Central America and Mexico.
