Students Research
Our goal at CIBS for the master students in the Latin America and Border Studies program is to help them integrate the knowledge of geopolitical boundaries, border people, and Latin America with their own selected discipline. Moreover, our program provides to students varied opportunities to conduct community-based research and present it in conferences and community meetings. Students’ selected discipline, for example environment, social, economic, or psychology, is then integrated with border and migration issues in our community. At the end, students practice critical thinking, leadership, teamwork, and networking skills during the research mentored by our faculty while augmenting the knowledge and understanding about our communities.
