This is a comprehensive list of all the facilities that the Department of Communication offers to students of communication. Our facilities include research labs, studios, computer labs, and a newsroom.
ENVIRONMENTAL COMMUNICATION LAB

COMMUNICATION AD LAB

The Lab has Dell Computers and Macintosh “iMacs,” with word processing, multimedia, and digital video editing software, as well as a small conference area for student advertising and video groups. Designed for digital video production and teaching. There is an adjacent HD master control room (currently under construction) outfitted with an HD switcher, plasma monitor, and 16 track mixer. Additional rooms include an audio mixing room, voiceover booth, and small conference area. The editing lab has an HD monitor and 17 Apple iMacs with digital video editing, multimedia, and word processing software.

The Lab has Dell Computers and Macintosh “iMacs,” with word processing, multimedia, and digital video editing software, as well as a small conference area for student groups. Video production students and members of Cotton Productions may check out digital video field production equipment as needed for class projects. Equipment checkouts limited to class work only.
COMMUNICATION AUDIO LAB

The Lab has 1 Computer with Adobe Audition digital audio editing software, as well as an Analoge Mixer for use and audio recording. The lab is designed for voice work and the production of radio spots and other audio programs.
MULTIMEDIA JOURNALISM STUDIO / BORDERZINE LAB

The Lab has 21 Macintosh “iMacs,” with word processing, multimedia, and digital photography, audio and video editing software, as well as a projector for lecturing purposes.
The lab is also the newsroom for Borderzine.com . Borderzine students and contributors may check out digital video and audio field production equipment as needed for covering stories.
