Our identity

Our MFA in Creative Writing at utep is more than a graduate program—it’s a literary crossroads. Located in El Paso, Texas, on the U.S.-Mexico border, our program offers a space where English and Spanish coexist in the classrooms, and where we value craft, culture, and innovation as much as community involvement. Here you can take a look at some of the work that our students and faculty made reflecting on the desert.
