Music Minor
A minor in music is available for students majoring in other fields of study. Students may choose an applied music option, an academic music option, or a commercial music option.
MINOR IN MUSIC IN THE LIBERAL ARTS DEGREE PLAN
For the Applied Music Option (MUAP)
- 2 hours (2 semesters) participation in band, choir, or orchestra depending on area

For the Academic Music Option (MUAC)
- Music Theory: MUST 1313, MUST 1314 and MUST 1111, MUST 1112 (Requires MUST 1311-1312 pre-requisite or placement)
- Music History/Literature: 3 semesters from MUSL 3326, 3329 (a rotating topics course; may be repeated for credit), 3327
For the Commercial Music/Recording Option (CMUR)
