Judi Wilkinson, B.A.
Staff Accompanist
Judi Wilkinson, piano and harpsichord, received her BA in Music from the University of Redlands in California. She taught fourth grade in the public schools for several years. She worked on an advanced degree in accompanying with Dr. Paula Fan at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Her piano instructors were Dr. Larry Warkentin (Pacific College of Fresno), Dr. Alexandra Pierce and Luanne Fuchs-Long (University of Redlands), and Dr. Gary Pederson (University of Michigan, Ypsillanti).
Judi has been on the piano faculty of Hastings College in Nebraska, as well as at Western Kentucky University - teaching piano and accompanying students and faculty. She was a member of the Claremoor Chamber Players, a group with woodwinds and harpsichord/piano that performed extensively in Kentucky. She is a free-lance pianist, has a private studio of pre-college students, is active in the El Paso Music Teachers Association, is pianist at Western Hills Methodist Church, and accompanies the El Paso Chorale and Opera Chorus. Judi performs regularly in recital with the UTEP choirs, vocal and instrumental students, and faculty. She accompanies high school and jr. high band and orchestra students in Solo and Ensemble Festivals. She also accompanies her husband, Don Wilkinson, woodwinds, in recitals and for various events in El Paso, Tucson, and California.
