Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua (UACH) and College of Liberal Arts (CoLART) collaboration
This week, we had the visit of the President of the Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua (UACH), Luis Rivera Campos, who participated in the hybrid class led by Dr. Jeremy Slack in collaboration with Dr. Emilio Lopez from UACH. This project will build on an existing research collaboration on immigration and asylum in Ciudad Juárez. This innovative hybrid model of instruction will allow students from both sides of the border to have collaboration opportunities, enabling them to learn from a more extensive group of faculty members., and develop their research activities to comply with both U.S. and Mexican academic systems.
This initiative aims to promote collaboration among our universities, including UTEP's latest Ph.D. program in Sociology. For additional information about this new program, please visit https://www.utep.edu/programs/graduate/sociology-phd.html
