New research by Iñiguez Behavioral Neuroscience Lab: Garcia-Carachure et al., in press

"A new study by Israel Garcia-Carachure and members of the Iñiguez Behavioral Neuroscience Lab entitled 'Enduring effects of adolescent ketamine exposure on cocaine- and sucrose-induced reward in male and female C57BL/6 mice' was published in Neuropsychopharmacology. The study demonstrates that, in the absence of physical or psychological stress, adolescent ketamine exposure increases later life preference for the rewarding properties of sucrose and cocaine in a sex- and age- specific manner..." F32 award for recent Psychology graduate and LAHDR center team member Dr. Dylan Richards

UTEP Welcomes 37 New Tenured and Tenure-Track Faculty Members

"The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) welcomed 37 new tenured and tenure-track faculty members to start the 2020-21 academic year. The new faculty members come to UTEP from a diverse array of disciplines – from geographic sciences, aerospace engineering, and computational sciences, to English, educational policy, marketing, rehabilitation counseling, and pharmaceutical sciences.
