Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies Conference
What is ABCT?
Association of Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies:
The annual convention of the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies welcomes individuals representing a wide variety of disciplines, specialties, and experience levels. The thread that ties this meeting together is ABCT’s mission to establish or confirm as well as disseminate the empirical basis for clinical practice.
All those involved in designing the Convention strive to offer you a good mix of both the “how to” and the “why.”
While many sessions offer both, typically symposia and panel discussions often more strongly concentrate on the “why.” The clinical round tables, workshops, master clinician seminars, institutes, and clinical intervention seminars more strongly concentrate on the “how to.” That being said, the majority of the presenters are clinical scientists whose interests integrate an evidence-based practice approach.
