Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Psychology
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Psychology
The Psychology Department offers both a B.A. degree and a B.S. degree through the College of Liberal Arts. The two degrees reflect both the history of psychology emerging from the field of philosophy and the development of psychology as a science. The B.A. program emphasizes acquiring a strong background in the humanities and other social sciences, whereas the B.S. program emphasizes training in the physical and life sciences. If you do well in your studies, either degree should help you find employment or gain entrance into a graduate program. For more information on choosing a degree plan, see Frequently Asked Questions.
There are three categories of degree requirements that must be fulfilled: University Core Requirements; College Requirements (College of Liberal Arts Requirements), and Psychology Department Requirements. For graduation, a 2.0 GPA is required overall, in Psychology, and in the Minor.
