Mental Health & Criminal Justice Laboratory
Director: Jennifer Eno Louden, Ph.D.
Dr. Eno Louden's lab includes one large observation room with one-way mirrors, an observation area, and two graduate student offices. The lab focuses on topics related to mental health and criminal justice.
Adolescent Development and Delinquency Laboratory
Director: April Thomas, Ph.D.
Dr. Thomas’ laboratory includes a large room for conducting social experiments and paperwork, as well as 3 private interview rooms containing computers, and a graduate student office space. The lab is equipped with actigraphy devices for evaluating sleep, computers, and electronic tablets for daily diary assessment. Research in this lab examines the developmental phenomena of adolescence, particularly as it applies to risk behavior and delinquency.
JUSTICE lAB
Director: Kelly Burke, Ph.D.
Dr. Burke’s laboratory includes one large room for conducting group experiments, one small room for individual-participant studies, and one graduate student office space. The lab is equipped with computers, a projection screen, and a TV monitor. The lab focuses on research related to public perceptions of police, police officer decision making, and juror decision making.
Legal Decision Lab
Director: Krystia Reed, J.D., Ph.D.
Dr. Reed's lab includes three data collection rooms - one for big groups (e.g., deliberating juries) and two for individuals. The lab focuses on understanding the psychological factors underlying legal decisions.
