Social Cognition Laboratory
Director: Michael Zarate, Ph.D.
Dr. Zarate's lab includes one large room that hosts four graduate students and undergraduate research assistants. Dr. Zarate's lab also has three small experimental rooms for data collection. The Social Cognition Lab focuses on four major areas of research: memory consolidation, culture inertia, culture and health, and close relationships.
The Race, Ethnicity, Neuroscience, and Health Lab
Director: Hannah Volpert-Esmond, Ph.D.
Dr. Volpert-Esmond's lab includes a suite of rooms and a common space used for EEG and behavioral data collection, graduate and undergraduate student work space, and lab meetings. The RENH lab focuses on research related to social cognition and perception, racial categorization, and the consequences of discrimination for health.
