Student Complaint and Feedback
This formal complaint process is only to be used if you are a student with a complaint about a College of Liberal Arts program, College of Liberal Arts course, College of Liberal Arts faculty/staff, or any other issue in the College of Liberal Arts.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Complaints about concerns listed below must be submitted through the appropriate channels:

- If your concern is regarding Academic Dishonesty, General Student Misconduct, Sexual Harassment or Sexual Misconduct (Title IX), or a Student of Concern, it must be submitted through https://www.utep.edu/student-affairs/standards/report/.
- If your concern is alleging unlawful discrimination or harassment on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability, genetic information, veteran’s status, sexual orientation, or gender identity, it should be reported immediately to the Equal Opportunity (EO) Office https://www.utep.edu/eoaa/ (select Resolving Complaints-->Equal Opportunity Complaint Form).

The University of Texas at El Paso encourages students to address their concerns through informal conferences with involved individuals. Concerns should be expressed as soon as possible to allow early resolution at the lowest possible administrative level. If a student does not feel that their concerns have been addressed through informal conference with the involved individual (faculty or staff), the student should request an informal conference with the involved individual's department chair/program director (faculty) or direct supervisor (staff).
Please provide a detailed description of the concern you want resolved, an overview of the informal conference you had with the individual or department regarding your complaint, and the response you received as a result of the informal conference.
Even after initiating the formal complaint process, a student is encouraged to continue to seek informal resolution of their concerns. A student whose concerns are resolved may withdraw a formal complaint at any time.
