What we are looking for…
Living up to its name, the Rio Grande Review is in search of literature that inhabits the border. We appreciate authors who tackle what it means to be on the edge, who explore the liminal zones of geography, language and culture. A border has multiple meanings, and the Rio Grande Review intends to delve into them all. We are looking in particular for:
- Cross-genre and hybrid texts
- Bilingual texts
- Experimental, queer and weird literature
- Translations
- Fragmented and cut-up narratives
- Avant-garde pieces
Furthermore, we are looking for graphic material that goes with these types of texts. If you consider to have any type of artwork (illustration, photography, collage, painting, etc.) that could help us, please share it with us.
We welcome everything that belongs in the border | the limit | the frontier, either in form or content.
