Rebecca Frost Mayer
Rebecca Frost Mayer (she/her) holds an MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University and a BFA from Boston University. She has performed, directed, choreographed, and taught theatre and dance in rural and urban communities throughout the United States. She joins UTEP's Department of Theatre and Dance as Assistant Professor of Instruction (Musical Theatre) after serving as faculty and head of Dance at Western Wyoming Community College. Professional and higher education credits include Points of Departure; Footloose; Promises, Promises; Nutcracker17; The Rocky Horror Show; Yank!; South Pacific; Canta y no llores; Gypsy; The Women, and Pride and Prejudice. Rebecca is currently developing a solo show that combines Tap Dance with storytelling and comedy. At UTEP, her mission is to empower students to create their own opportunities to perform new and published works of theatre while maintaining agency and honoring personal identity.
