THE INTERNATIONAL MUSICAL PHENOMENON!
Music, lyrics and book by Richard O'Brien. Most people are familiar with the film version of the story (The Rocky Horror Picture Show) which became a worldwide phenomenon through midnight movie showings, but El Paso has only once before been treated to The Rocky Horror Show – Live On Stage! when the UTEP Dinner Theatre premiered the show back in 2005 in a run that sold out every single performance (including 7 added shows). When their car breaks down, sweethearts Brad and Janet find themselves at the castle of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (a sweet transvestite from the planet transsexual) who is performing diabolical experiments trying to create the perfect man. Mayhem ensues and every cliché from 1950’s Science Fiction movies is sent up, bent and twisted right up to the gloriously decadent and tacky finale. Come join that “sweet transvestite” and his motley crew as they do the “time warp” on the Dinner Theatre stage. Don’t dream it – Be it!
Mature subject matter.

The Prom is a musical with music by Matthew Sklar, lyrics by Chad Beguelin, and a book by Bob Martin and Beguelin, based on an original concept by Jack Viertel.
Four fading Broadway stars are in desperate need of a new stage. So when they hear that trouble is brewing around a small-town Indiana prom—and the press is involved—they know that it’s time to put a spotlight on the issue…and themselves. The town’s parents want to keep the dance on the straight and narrow—but when one student just wants to bring her girlfriend to prom, the entire town has a date with destiny. Now, Broadway’s brassiest are coming to join the fight and they are ready to kick-ball-change the world. Mature subject matter.

Stripping steelworkers? You bet! Seeing how much their wives enjoy watching male strippers during their “Girls Night Out”, unemployed steelworkers in Buffalo, New York come up with a bold way to make some quick cash. In the process they find renewed self-esteem, the importance of friendship and the ability to have fun. As these everyday guys with their everyday bodies work through their fears, they come to discover that not only are they stronger as a group, but that the strength they find in each other gives them the individual courage to face their fears and overcome them. This hilarious musical is based on the hit British film that was nominated for Best Picture at The Academy Awards. When we staged The Full Monty at The UTEP Dinner Theatre in 2006 it sold out every single performance and held over for 5 additional performances, a definite crowd pleaser! Mature subject matter and partial nudity.
