Pay your outstanding balance
All outstanding citation fees, boot fees, and any applicable late fees must be paid in full before your vehicle can be released. You can review your balance through the parking portal.
If you are a UTEP student or employee and need to set up a payment plan, you can join the virtual queue or schedule an appointment with Student Business Services. Payment plans take additional time to process — please plan to arrive no later than 4:30 pm.

If your vehicle was booted for a permit violation
Surrender the permit before release
If your vehicle was booted because of a fraudulent, tampered, lost, or stolen permit, that permit must be surrendered to the Parking and Transportation Services office before your vehicle will be released.
Important reminders
- Vehicles booted for 36 or more hours may be towed to a storage facility at your expense. Towing and storage fees will be added to your balance.
- Being on a payment plan does not prevent late fees from accruing.
- Failure to maintain payment arrangements or receiving new citations may result in your vehicle being booted again.
- If payment arrangements are not made within 3 business days, the vehicle may be towed. You will be responsible for all towing fees and outstanding balances.
- Unauthorized removal or damage to a wheel boot is prohibited and may result in additional fines, disciplinary action, and criminal charges under applicable law.
