Submit a Book Proposal

To submit a manuscript for consideration, please email the following to press@utep.edu:

• Submission inquiry form
• Current CV or résumé
• 100-250 words about how the concept for your book originated
• 100-250 words summarizing your proposed manuscript
• Summary of each chapter (no more than 100 words each)

Please submit all materials as PDFs or Word documents.

Generative AI Policy

All works submitted to UTEP Press and Texas Western Press for consideration must be the original creation of the author. The Press will not accept any work that is written or generated by generative AI or a large language model tool.

Copyright Permission

Photographs, graphics and illustrations included as part of the manuscript must be original creations belonging to the author. For anything else, the author must provide documentation showing that they have permission to reproduce copyrighted material, which includes previously published materials, images, graphics, illustrations and quoted text from other works that are not considered “fair use.”
