Beyond Generative AI (GenAI), which includes tools like Copilot and ChatGPT, AI encompasses a wide range of applications—from data analytics and predictive modeling to intelligent tutoring systems and advanced simulations—that can accelerate discovery and improve research outcomes.

R&I and the Institute for Applied AI Innovation Present:
Accelerating Research with High Performance Computing & AI

A college‑scheduled series for UTEP research faculty

Discover how high‑performance computing (HPC) and AI‑enabled workflows can accelerate research productivity and discovery. Through live demonstrations and guided walkthroughs, faculty learn how to access and effectively use UTEP’s research computing infrastructure and resources from the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC).

Program highlights:

  • College‑aligned sessions with domain‑relevant AI use cases
  • Hands‑on demonstrations of HPC and AI research workflows
  • Three hours of structured instruction, plus an optional consultation hour
  • Ongoing biweekly office hours for continued support
  • No prior scientific computing experience required

Capacity: 25 faculty champions per session
