Resources for using AI in research 

As AI transforms the research ecosystem, UTEP is dedicated to empowering faculty to harness its potential for accelerating discovery, fostering collaboration, and advancing scholarly impact. Successful integration demands discipline-specific strategies, ethical responsibility, and robust institutional support. Through the Institute for Applied AI Innovation (AAII) and the Office of Research and Innovation, UTEP provides:

• AI literacy and training to help researchers understand capabilities, limitations, and risks.
• Support for ethical and transparent use of AI in data analysis, writing, and dissemination.
• Guidance on copyright, privacy, and academic integrity in AI-assisted research.
• Development of norms and best practices for integrating AI across disciplines.
• Access to tools and infrastructure that promote equitable participation in AI-enhanced research.

This approach empowers UTEP researchers to innovate responsibly and lead in an AI-driven academic environment.
