jose eduardo aguilar (el deportee)

Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, 1988.

Filmmaker, storyteller, deportee, and spoken word artist. Born in Ciudad Juárez and raised in Heber City, Utah. He studied Methodology for Teaching Foreign Languages at UACJ and graduated from the Film Faculty with a specialization in screenwriting. He has been a passionate advocate for creativity and narratives within the deported community south of the border. Currently, he writes, photographs, and documents post-deportation experiences between Ciudad Juárez and central Mexico.
