The Second Annual UTEP Department of Art Alumni Focus Exhibition presented Daniel Lehman: Recent Sculpture in the Project Space. Lehman (b. 1964) earned his B.F.A. from UTEP in 1993. Lehman uses both traditional forging techniques and modern fabrication to create his steel sculptures. His most recent work was inspired by large industrial forms, while his earlier work was informed by his study of the biological sciences. Lehman was born in El Paso and now resides in Tucson, Arizona.
