Graphic Content: Art of the New Music Poster was a traveling exhibition curated by Dirk Fowler, Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at Texas Tech University School of Art. The exhibition contained more than 100 posters by 25 different artists and highlighted the growing importance of the rock poster in contemporary art. The posters exhibited were a part of a new genre of unique designs screen printed by artists and graphic designers eager to create independent art in the same spirit as the independent music that the posters represent.

Curator Dirk Fowler writes, "Frustrated with their day jobs and longing to get away from the computer and get back into basics, these designers and illustrators produce something much more than an advertisement for a show. They labor deep into the morning hours pulling squeegees in garages and warehouses, screen printing beautiful posters that have become highly prized and collected."
