- Finding Focus – Navigate the challenges of being a student, work on improving your academic skill and learn to manage stress and anxiety in order to get the most out of your education with this five-week program. This program repeats throughout the semester.
- Understanding Myself and My Emotions – Learn how to understand what your emotions are trying to tell you and how to work with and express your emotions in a healthy and effective way. This program repeats throughout the semester.
- Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction – The eight-week program is an experiential and powerful approach that helps students learn strategies to deal with daily physical, emotional and psychological stress. Mindfulness practices also help improve sleep patterns, increase positive emotions, generate self-compassion and enhance self-esteem. Students need to register on the CAPS web site for this program.
- “Breathe Within: A mindfulness drop-in program” – Students can stop by for a single 30 to 45 minute session to learn about the benefits and techniques of mindfulness. This program is a good place where students learn short mindfulness techniques that they can use on a daily basis to enhance their well-being without committing to a full program.
