The Office of Student Fellowships and Awards helps UTEP students and recent alumni identify prestigious, nationally competitive, funding opportunities and provides support as they prepare their application materials. Nationally competitive awards are more than just money—they are transformative experiences that give you a competitive edge for graduate school and your future career.


We can help you:

  • Identify external fellowships, scholarships and other awards relevant to your academic and professional goals
  • Plan ahead for fellowships and scholarships that you want to apply for in the future
  • Cultivate strong relationships with faculty mentors on campus who can support your applications
  • Hone your writing skills for your personal statement, research grant proposal and other application essays
  • Practice interviewing skills

Recent UTEP Graduate Earns Fulbright U.S. Student Program Award!

Aylin Duarte was born in El Paso, Texas, but raised in Ciudad Juárez, Mexico. The recent graduate of The University of Texas at El Paso understands biculturalism and bilingualism and plans to promote both in Argentina as a Fulbright U.S. Student Program English Teaching Assistant starting in spring 2022.
