HOUSTON ENDOWMENT



 

Supports 10 Houston Endowment Scholars every year. Students receiving the funds may reapply for up to 4 cycles with an included student-written report each year on how the fund has been spent during the prior period. Distribution of the fund includes one student per college (7) with the remaining three being selected based on competitiveness. Award size is $2000 per student per year for up to 4 years.

The Houston Endowment Scholarship is open to UTEP University Honors Program Students:

  • University Honors Program Students needing funding to support Edge activities – internships, study abroad, research, conferences, and special opportunities.

  • The Professional and Leadership Development Fund Scholarship awards $500 per year for juniors and seniors.

  • The Honors Program Scholarship awards $2000 per year per year for up to four years at any level of study.

Application Deadline: February and October

  • Must be a member of the University Honors Program at UTEP

  • Limited support to upperclassmen (more than 60 credit hours).

  • The student engagement fund will support high impact practices including internships, study abroad, research experiences, conferences, and other special opportunities.

  • Must complete a reflection form at the end of each funding cycle to be eligible for continued funding.
