Solidarity Statement

The Interdisciplinary Health Sciences PhD Program at The University of Texas at El Paso is dedicated to the preparation of a new cadre of health professionals who will accelerate ethical solutions to address complex health problems locally and abroad, with a particular focus on health disparities and service to traditionally underrepresented and underserved populations. Under the direction of faculty members who are committed to the core values of equity, diversity, and social accountability, our students are prepared to assume the academic responsibilities of teaching, research, and service with the highest level of professionalism, sensitivity to cultural diversity, and integrity. We stand in solidarity with those who promote a culture of acceptance of all individuals, regardless of race, religion, ethnicity, color, sexual orientation or gender identification, and commit to work to promote and protect the basic human rights of all people in all nations.
