EMERGENCE HEALTH NETWORK
Rick A. Myer, Ph.D., professor, and chair of the Department of Counseling, Special Education and Educational Psychology, joined the Board of Trustees for the Emergence Health Network – El Paso Center for Mental Health/Intellectual Disabilities. This organization serves El Paso County residents in the areas of intellectual/developmental disabilities, mental health issues, emergency crisis response, integrated health care, and addictions. His two-year term began in January 2016.

Dr. Paul A. Carrola has been named President for the Texas Association of Counselor Education and Supervision (TACES) for the 2021-2022 year. TACES is a division of the Texas Counseling Association that represents supervisors and educators who advocate for the counseling profession in the state of Texas by strengthening counselor education and supervision.
PROFESSIONAL SCHOOL COUNSELING JOURNAL
Dr. Carleton H. Brown has been appointed as an editorial board member of the Professional School Counseling journal starting May 2020. The flagship journal for the American School Counselor Association, the Professional School Counseling journal, publishes peer-reviewed manuscripts of high standard and rigor focused on conceptual and empirical scholarship related to the field of school counseling.
