Who We Are
The Miner Ambassadors program was established in 2008. They are a group of student leaders dedicated to fostering a culture of philanthropy, engagement, and stewardship at UTEP. As student representatives of Institutional Advancement, the Miner Ambassadors serve as liaisons between students, alumni, donors, faculty, staff, and the broader community. Through leadership, service, and outreach, they enhance the University’s mission by promoting lifelong connections, encouraging engagement, and educating students on the constant giving happening at UTEP. The program provides a unique opportunity for students to develop professional skills, network with influential stakeholders, and make a lasting impact on UTEP’s future.
What We Do
Ambassadors work closely with Institutional Advancement, the President’s Office, and a variety of other campus departments. As representatives of UTEP, Ambassadors are expected to show the utmost levels of professionalism and commitment in order to further advance the University’s excellence and caliber.
Why You Should Join
By becoming a Miner Ambassador, you will gain valuable professional experience, along with the opportunity to network with various UTEP alumni, staff, and faculty. Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to build upon and demonstrate your leadership skills by stepping out of your comfort zone, meeting new people, and making new friends. The experiences and capabilities acquired in this program will continue to serve you, even after your graduation.
