“Recording Bhutanese Artifacts in El Paso” works to build an online database that catalogs Bhutanese artifacts on campus and in the community with digital imagery and supporting text. The digital project would also include recordings of Bhutanese culture in the community, including interviews with Bhutanese students and professors teaching Bhutanese-related subjects. The platform would also include an educational component with teaching resources consisting of lesson plans and teaching modules readily available for instructors teaching Bhutanese or Asian Studies. The project would also include a prototype of an online, digital map showing the locations of artifacts on the UTEP campus. The completed database would be available to faculty and students interested in Bhutanese culture either for instructional use or research in Bhutanese and Asian topics and to campus visitors for campus walking tours and university promotion.
