Dr. Rodney T. Chabikwa presents on his creative process and practices as an artist-scholar. The presentation revisits the question: What is the work of an artist in today's world? Sharing his own artwork—painting, sculpture, film, photography, and dance— Dr. Rodney T. Chabikwa will invite the audience into dialogue concerning their own understanding of art, and the roles of artmaking in self-reflection, creating community, and imagining positive futures. The presentation will culminate with a walkthrough of the UTEP Black History Month art showcase.
