A panel presentation event bringing together three professional local historians Micheal Davis (El Paso Museum of Black History), Dr. Miguel Juárez (UTEP History Dept.), and Erica Marin (El Paso Museum of History Director) to speak on key issues, the impact and the relevance of African descended peoples in the Paso del Norte region. They shed light on their work in, relationship to the community, key local historical figures and on the roles Black histories have, and can, play in the city of El Paso. The panel will also share their understanding of said relevance in the future the region and the city, as the border space is a conjunctural space on the Frontera.
