Dr. Sara Potter takes International Prize for Literary Article

Sara Potter's article, "Of Monsters and Malinches: Signifying Violence in Edgar Clément’s Operación Bolívar and Tony Sandoval’s El cadáver y el sofá" (published in the Revista de Estudios Hispánicos, 53.1) has been awarded first place for best essay in the humanities in 2019 in the Mexican Section of the Latin American Studies Association (LASA). This prize, awarded annually, recognizes distinguished and original contributions to the field of Mexican studies.
